Breaking the Rules of Law (Matthew 1:18-25)

The point: Christmas reminds us of what’s really right
Joseph faced a situation in which, from all appearances, his fiancée had cheated on him. But God was calling Joseph to break the rules of law by staying with Mary. Joseph chose to obey God, and through his story we see that Christmas reminds us of what’s really right. Even more, Joseph reminds us that salvation is here.

Breaking the Rules of Nature (Luke 1:26-38)

The point: Christmas points to the Creator
God broke the rules of nature by making a virgin girl named Mary pregnant. This not only fulfilled prophecy; it also pointed to how Jesus broke the rules of nature by performing miracles. Through all this, Christmas points us to the Creator and shows us that miracles are possible.
